  1. Memorandum (Memo)
Memo is a note, document or other communication that helps the memory by recording events or observations on a topic, such as may be used in a business office.

  • Types of Memo
- Directive Memo
A directive memo states a policy or procedure you want the reader or co-worker to follow.

- Response Memo
The purpose of this memo is to provide the audience with desired information.

- Trip Report memo
A trip report memo is usually sent to a supervisor after an employee returns from a business venture.

- Field Report Memo
These memos, known as field or lab reports, include the problem, methods, results, and conclusions, but spend less time on the methods section.

I am writing to inform you of my intention to resign from G & S Holdings.

I have appreciated very much my four years working for the company. The training has been excellent and I have gained valuable experience working within an efficient and professional team environment. In particular, I have appreciated your personal guidance during these first years of my career.

I feel now that it is time to further develop my knowledge and skills base in a different environment.

I would like to leave, if possible, in a month's time on Saturday, 13 December. This will allow me to complete my current workload. I hope that this suggested arrangement is acceptable to the company.
