1. Inquiry
Letter
Inquiry Letter introduces the
organization and allows the donor to contribute before committing to a
proposal.
A letter of inquiry
follows a very standard format. The first paragraph introduces the organization
and proceeds to define the organization's mission statement. After that, the
letter describes how the organization plans to use the funds it raises and its
methodology for using the funds. The letter closes after summarizing the points
it has made. Generally, the potential donor, agency or foundation granting the
funds has strict requirements, such as page length and format, for letters of
inquiry.

Dear Sir,
Subject: Purchase order for Dinner Set
I, Apreza Purnama, am writing this letter to you for placing a purchase
order. I would like to share that we have gone through the designs of various
dinner sets shared on your company’s website and are quite impressed by your
work.
Though it was difficult to choose the best one, however we
have short listed Dinner Set No. 23 as it has appealed us over the rest. We
tried looking for the option of purchasing it online but could not find any
such provision. We would thus, like to place an order for the same by way of
this letter.
We have also enclosed a demand draft of the mentioned
amount as per the given instructions. We would request you to send the order on
our address within 3 days as has been promised on your company’s site.
Thanking you,

a problem situation when other attempts (i.e. phone contacts, e-mails, etc.)
have failed to rectify the situation. The complaint letter formalizes a problem
situation by putting it into writing and is usually the last resort to try to
get a situation resolved.

Customer Service Manager
Lite-On Technology. Co., Ltd
Tokyo
27456
November 11th, 2014
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing today to complain of the poor service
I received from your company on November 10th, 2014. I was visited by a
representative of Lite-On Technology. Co., Ltd, Mr. Hiroshi, at my home on that
day.
Mr. Hiroshi was one hour late for his appointment
and offered nothing by way of apology when he arrived at noon. Your
representative did not remove his muddy shoes upon entering my house, and
consequently left a trail of dirt in the hallway. Mr. Hiroshi then proceeded to
present a range of products to me that I had specifically told his assistant by
telephone I was not interested in. I repeatedly tried to ask your
representative about the products that were of interest to me, but he refused
to deal with my questions. We ended our meeting after 25 minutes without either
of us having accomplished anything.
I am most annoyed that I wasted a morning (and half
a day's vacation) waiting for Mr. Hiroshi to show up. My impression of Lite-On
Technology. Co., Ltd has been tarnished, and I am now concerned about how my
existing business is being managed by your firm. Furthermore, Mr. Hiroshi's
inability to remove his muddy shoes has meant that I have had to engage the
services, and incur the expense, of a professional carpet cleaner.
I trust this is not the way Lite-On Technology.
Co., Ltd wishes to conduct business with valued customers—I have been with you
since the company was founded and have never encountered such treatment before.
I would welcome the opportunity to discuss matters further and to learn of how
you propose to prevent a similar situation from recurring. I look forward to
hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Apreza Purnama

Notification of My Resignation
|
I am writing to inform you
of my intention to resign from G & S Holdings.
I have appreciated very much my four years
working for the company. The training has been excellent and I have gained
valuable experience working within an efficient and professional team

these first years of my career.
I feel now that it is time to further
develop my knowledge and skills base in a different environment.
I would like to leave, if possible, in a
month's time on Saturday, 13 December. This will allow me to complete
my current workload. I hope that this suggested arrangement is acceptable to
